I'm certainly "nesting" as I find great energy at night and want to either clean or organize some room in our house! Bella and Abi will share a room. It's mainly bright pink and green. The walls are a creamy yellow and that same color is in their bedding. Bella's duvet cover is pink striped with green and yellow. Abi's baby bedding are the same colors but a floral pattern. They match perfectly! A bright green paper umbrella has been hung over Abi's bed. I think she will love viewing it while laying on her back in her crib. Their room is sweet. So tonight the plan is to throw out most of the items in the armoire in the girls room. Don't fear. Bella will not notice that some of her drawings, broken pencils, dried out marker, pieces of erasers or other random school items are gone. She will notice the cleanliness and order! It's time to place diapers, wipes, princess onsies and blankets in half of the armoire. It's time for the room to begin to smell like a powder puff! Bella will love it! She will be the best Big Sister to our Abi! At seven years of age, she will feel somewhat like the mommy. This should be fun! ;)
So, I bought a pack & play today. Have you looked at the selection of pack & plays?! Wow! I got the Graco Olivia Collection. It's pink and brown! Yay...finally a girlie one! It has the posture plus changing table that holds a baby up to 25 lbs. with baby basics organizer. (This will be helpful for about a month. Surely at a year old, Abigail Valeria is near 25 lbs.) It also has the electronics unit with a 2 speed vibration in the mattress, five classical songs, five soothing nature sounds, a night light to illuminate controls AND a removable bassinet with quilted bumpers. Whew...I just needed a bed for the girl. So much has changed in 7 years! It's lovely and perfect...just like her!
My heart is full as I make all the preparations for our kids to travel. Josh and Bella have been looking forward to our trip for quite a while. I've got great surprises and gifts tucked away for each of them. I want them to feel especially loved and chosen because they are! I'm thankful for the growth I've seen in them over the last year. I remember thinking (this time last year) that we were so close to leaving and getting our daughter in Colombia. Looking back, I'm thankful the Lord gave us another year to prepare. We've all grown. We've all had areas healed in our hearts. We've gained confidence where it was lacking. We've seen the faithfulness of God. We've become a tighter knit family.
God's timing is always perfect timing.
