APPROVAL...

We received approval from Judge #7!!! He reviewed all of our adoption papers and approved them which means we have our "acceptance." Now we wait for our court date to finalize the adoption...our "sentencia." It usually takes a week. After our sentencia, we will fly to Bogota from Medellin to finalize Abi's visa. I believe we make a request on one day and the following day we receive her visa. THEN...we can head home. HALLELUJAH!!!

Abi slept much better last night! The larger room that we were in last night seemed to work well. Abi slept with me while Bruce, Josh and Bella were in an adjoining room (more adjoining than you are thinking...believe me...separated only by a door that won't completely close AND windows that remain open (for air to sweep through both rooms). She slept in the middle of the bed and I was on the left side of her. She woke often and whimpered. However, once I spoke in her ear that I was near OR she felt my arm on hers, she fell back to sleep. It wasn't horrible but I slept very little...4 hours. When she woke at 3am, instead of a sleepy tea, we went into the hall, I held her and she fell back to sleep. That took about 30 minutes but at least it was proof that she's not hungry in the night. Bruce woke before her and I carried her to him at 7ish. I went back to bed for 2 hours. :)

Vicky came at 11am to pick us up and we were off to Explorer Park. It's a unique park on the North side of the city. You may recall that the North side of Medellin has residents that are less fortunate. It's a nice park. We went to the Aquarium and enjoyed viewing the fish. We also went to another area that was an interactive museum. We enjoyed our day and came back to the hotel to swim (the kids and Bruce).

The rest of the late afternoon/early evening was spent just being together, making some phone calls and having a nice dinner here at the hotel.

Abi is in bed between Bruce and I right now. She is laying flat on her back and I'm sure feels the coziness and trust as she's sandwiched between us. We shall see what tonight brings.

Sorry, not too many details today...all is well.

love to you!
